Released in October, 2021, Memento Mori was published thanks to support from several foundations and from the Loterie Romande. The photography is by Katharina von Flotow. Aurélien Garzarolli and Maeva Dubrez created the graphic design. Six authors contributed their reflections on the photographic work. Journalist Christophe Fovanna, art historian Mayte Garcia, ethnologist Jacques Hainard, botanist Pierre-André Loiseau, surgeon Charles-Henri Rochet and writer Jacques Roman engage in dialogue that is never commentary or a simple description of the images, but rather a free meditation on the vanity of existence, the fleetingness of time, and the fragility of life.
